Terms of Service

The terms of use (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") for “HOTERES Digital” (hereinafter referred to as "this Service") operated by Ohta Publications Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") are set forth as follows.

Article 1 (Applicable)

  1. These Terms stipulate the conditions for use of the Service between the Company and all customers who use the Service (hereinafter referred to as "Users").
  2. By using this Service, Users are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
  3. Individual regulations, guidelines, and notices posted by the Company on the Service shall constitute part of these Terms.

Article 2 (Definitions)

The definitions of terms used in these Terms are as follows:

  1. Visitor: A person who browses the Service without registering as a member.
  2. Free Membership: A member who registers and uses free services.
  3. Paid Subscription: A member who uses paid content by paying a monthly or yearly fee.
  4. Content: Articles, videos, images, data, and all other information provided by the Service.
  5. Points: Benefits with no monetary value usable within the Service.

Article 3 (Membership Registration)

  1. Anyone wishing to use the Service must agree to these Terms and register in the manner prescribed by the Company.
  2. Membership registration is completed when the Company approves the application and notifies the applicant.
  3. The Company may refuse registration if:
    • False, incorrect, or missing information is provided
    • The applicant has previously violated these Terms
    • Legal consent has not been obtained where required
    • The applicant is associated with anti-social forces
    • The Company deems registration inappropriate

Article 4 (Membership Types and Services)

(1) Visitor

  • Viewing public articles
  • Using publicly available content
  • Using free services without registration

(2) Free Membership

  • All services available to Visitors
  • Viewing free members-only content
  • Downloading materials
  • One-time purchase of paid content
  • Applying for paid events

(3) Paid Subscription

  • All services available to Free Members
  • Viewing paid content (excluding certain premium services)
  • Participation in HOTERES Salon (Community)
  • Priority access to member-only events
  • Use of the point system

Monthly fee: 500 yen (tax included)
Annual fee: 5,000 yen (tax included)

Article 5 (Paid Subscription and Automatic Renewal)

  1. Paid subscriptions require application and payment.
  2. Monthly plans are valid for one month; annual plans for one year.
  3. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled by the User.
  4. Renewal charges are processed [Confirmation Required: ○ days before / on the expiration date].

Article 6 (Payment Method)

  • Credit card payment
  • Bank transfer
  • Invoice payment for corporate customers (upon request)

Article 7 (Cancellation / Withdrawal)

  1. Paid subscriptions may be canceled at any time.
  2. No prorated refunds will be provided.
  3. Upon withdrawal, all rights to use the Service are lost.

Article 8 (Refund Policy)

Due to the nature of digital content, refunds are not provided once access, downloading, or viewing has begun.

Article 9 (Point System)

  1. Points may be granted to paid members.
  2. Points have no monetary value.
  3. Points cannot be transferred or exchanged.
  4. Points expire after [Confirmation Required: ○ months / ○ years].

Article 22 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Company’s head office.
